I would say their long-term future looks much brighter than the Angels or the Tigers.<br /><br />I see the Angels just gave Trout a six-year, $140 million deal. I don't see that one as being nearly as bad as the Cabrera deal, because Trout is entering his prime years and figures to earn that money by playing at an All-Star level. I really doubt Cabrera's performance in coming years will justify the paycheck he's gonna get. You'd be hard-pressed to name more than one or two of these big deals that have actually worked out for teams, but they keep doing it.
